52 Ancestors: #49 - Catherine VanDiver (1803 KY - 1876 IN)





                Catherine Van Diver was born in September 1803 in Kentucky to Henry Van Diver and Magdeline Van Nuys. She married Stephen Whitenack about 1821, probably in Kentucky.

                Catherine and Stephen had two daughters.

Eva Jane Whitenack was born in November 1822 in Harrodsburg, Mercer County, Kentucky.  She married Josiah Drake in 1845 in Johnson County,Indiana.  They had at least 7 children.  Eva died on 29 June 1893 in Johnson County, Indiana and was buried in Shiloh Cemetery in Johnson County.

                Lana Ann Whitenack was born on 7 August 1825 in Ohio, probably Brown County. She married Jonathan Edward Young in 1846, probably in Indiana.  They had at least nine children. Lana died in 1884 and is buried in Kirwin Cemetery, in Kirwin, Kansas.

                Stephen died in 1829 and Catherine married William Evans in March 1839 in Johnson County, Indiana.  William and Catherine had at least five children.

                Margaret Evans was born about 1835. I have no further information about Margaret.

                Robert Evans was born about 1838, in Indiana. He probably married Christina Voris, in 1859. They may have had one daughter, Flora.

                Mary Ellen Evans was born in May 1840 and died in November 1850. She is buried in Shiloh Cemetery, in Johnson County, Indiana.

                Martha Evans was born in September 1842 in Indiana. She married Elias P. Musgrave in May 1863.  I don’t know if they had any children. Both Martha and Elias were buried in Brian Cemetery, Martinsville, Indiana.

                William Henry Evans was born in November 1845 in Indiana. He married Sarah E. Miller in September 1867. I don’t know if they had any children and I also don’t have any information about their deaths.
               
               Catherine died about 1876 in Indiana.
